About these projects

We were asked by Purple to customize shoes for SAP. The silhouette we worked on was the Adidas Ultraboost 22. The upper of this sneaker is made with high-performance yarn that consists of at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic: upcycled plastic waste that is intercepted before it can pollute the oceans.

Before we went to the events, we came up with three designs. The first design was just a nice color scheme on the stripes, the second design was inspired by a sunset with clouds and the final design was inspired by the fashion artist Deepika.

At the event, you could choose between one of our already-made designs, or design one yourself. Some of these customs have been made live at the event. First, we went to the marken gala in Frankfurt, Germany. We also went to London and Berlin.

It was an honor to be present at SAP marken gala on October 29, 2022. The Marken Gala is probably the most entertaining gala in Germany. The visitors to the gala could design their shoes with us and collect them at the end of the evening. They were allowed to adjust things from the Adidas shoes. They could change the three Adidas stripes, the laces, and the label. In addition, they were able to age the sole and spray a fade over the shoe. At the end of the night, we made 19 people happy with their one of one custom. We still had other designs that has to be made back in Tiel.

In Londen, we had the best view of the three visited locations. Our customization spot was in The Gherkin on the 38th floor which gave a good view of the skyline of London. In addition to the marken gala in Frankfurt, this event was for partners of SAP.

At the final event for SAP we were attending in Berlin. This event was held in The Reed. Where space was created where their story could be displayed on a 20-meter-long screen. RE: Fashion the future.

Unfortunately, during the event, we couldn't make everyone happy to pick up their sneaker at the end of the evening. Back in the Netherlands, we will get to work on at least 50 extra pairs.
