Design and create your own sneakers in our shoemaking course
In this 1 week's course (eight hours per day), you will learn traditional shoe-making craftsmanship. You will be accompanied by a group of a maximum of 5 students, and guided by the VIJZ team, which will teach you all the skills required to make your own sneakers. Prior knowledge about shoemaking is not required, we will dive deep into every part of the shoe-making process. during this week you will make your own silhouette of choice we have available. Your own designed and selfmade sneakers
We would like to note that it is extremely valuable prior to the course, to think about what kind of design choices you want to make. Having a rough idea of what your sneaker should look like saves a lot of time. This time is better spent on other parts of the course. Would you still rather design your sneakers during the course? No problem, the VIJZ team will help you through the design phase during the course. You can download the templates by clicking here.
During the shoemaking course, you will work with our own shoe-making toolkit. We provide machines you can use during the course to start making your own sneakers. The shoes, guidebook, paper patterns, can be taken home at the end of the course, so you can continue the shoemaking at home. Additional lasts, toolkit, materials, and accessories can be purchased at the studio afterwards.
