You’ll often see the term bespoke in our communications. But what does it actually mean?
Bespoke refers to something that is custom-made, specifically tailored to the individual needs, preferences, or specifications of a client. The term originally comes from British tailoring, where a suit was said to be “spoken for” once a customer had chosen a specific fabric.
In our context, bespoke means that every sneaker we create is one-of-a-kind — built entirely around your vision, your story, and your style. From the choice of materials and colors to the tiniest design details, everything is crafted to reflect you.

You might have heard us talk about One-of-One sneakers. But what does that actually mean?
A one-of-one sneaker is exactly what it sounds like — a shoe that exists only once in the world. It’s not part of a collection or limited run. It’s made entirely for you, based on your ideas, your story, and your style.
Through our One-of-One service, we guide you in creating this unique piece. During a personal design session, we’ll sit down to explore all your wishes — from materials and colors to textures, finishes, and custom details.

Releases
You’ve probably seen us drop limited releases from time to time. But how does that work exactly?
A release at VIJZ means we create a unique sneaker design — often inspired by a story, a theme, or a moment — and offer it in a very limited run, usually just 10 pairs. Each release is carefully developed by our team.
These sneakers are not pre-produced. Every pair is made-to-order, built from scratch once you place your order. That’s why delivery takes around 5 to 7 weeks — because quality takes time, and we believe every pair should be worth the wait.

Our shoes are handmade to order at our atelier in Tiel, The Netherlands, taking up to 5-7 weeks to complete in your chosen size. As they are tailor-made, returns are not possible, and all sales are final. We understand waiting can be tough, but we believe in quality over quantity. To keep you informed, we provide updates when we start working on your project.

The starting price for a bespoke sneaker is €2000. This covers the design process and craftsmanship of the One of One Service. The base shoe is not included in this price. You can either provide your own sneaker (which we deconstruct for the sole), or we can source a new base shoe for you.
Final pricing depends on the materials used, the complexity of the design, and any additional custom details such as exotic leathers, embroidery, or outsole prints.
