It might actually be a boring story. I was looking at different multimedia companies near Culemborg. When I came across VIJZ I checked their Instagram and I was impressed by their sneakers. When I went to look on the website I saw that they were looking for content creation interns. I thought this was a good match and decided to get in contact with them. That’s how I got here.

I’m most proud of one of the first filming days at the estate house Bergen in Vught. Our first run turned out great right away. So the making and editing of the video went by fast and was immediately uploaded to the socials. The content was well received, so that was something to be really proud of.

To my younger self I would say to get out of my comfort zone a lot more. Saying yes to more things coming my way. I have noticed that since I’m letting new things into my life, I’m doing a lot more enjoyable activities. Also choosing things that you genuinely like, and not just taking opportunities that lead to money or status. For example I choose to do ICT ‘cause it pays well, but since it didn’t make me happy I chose something different that has given me many great opportunities.

I’m working on sharing my experiences on LinkedIn, making connections and getting inspired by others. I think its important to learn from others, like I’m learning from Sam too. I think its important to see how others do certain things and ask questions. Because I want to start my own video production company, I am trying to learn more about entrepreneurship.

I want to set up my own website so I can represent myself and share who I am and what I do through my portfolio. I take inspiration from how other people have handled this step in their careers.
