Introducing the New Release from Vijz: Air Max 1 OG - Orange Leopard!
With materials like small leopard hair on leather print, curry suede, off-white leather, and a soft mesh lining, these sneakers are both stylish and comfortable. But that's not all - the real star of the show is the pattern work.
Thanks to Frank from Outsole, Vijz was able to develop a shape and pattern based on the Air Max 1 Urawa from 2004. According to Vijz, this is the best shape ever created for the Air Max 1. To learn more about this project, be sure to keep an eye on our blog. Coming soon.
This release is a culmination of five years of hard work and dedication. Vijz's founder, Sam, began making bespoke sneakers five years ago, with his first design and release being the "Air Max 1 Orange Leopard." Now, after finding the perfect shape, he wanted to re-release this design in a new and improved way. Over the years, Sam has collaborated with many talented individuals, including photographer Nikki van Toorn. They first worked together on this release back in 2018 and came back together for this release, five years later.
As with any new release, comparisons can be made with past designs. In 2018, Vijz had a less fitting shoe last, which resulted in a pointed toe. However, now they have their own custom shoe lasts, which perfectly fit their newly developed patterns. The toe area also has a reinforced structure for added support, which wasn't present in the 2018 release. Additionally, the materials used now are of much higher quality, resulting in a richer, more luxurious feel.
Let's talk about the design of the Orange Leopard sneaker from Vijz. As the name suggests, the sneaker features an eye-catching orange color with leopard hair print accents, giving it a unique and bold look. The curry suede and off-white leather add a touch of sophistication to the design, while the soft mesh lining ensures comfort for all-day wear.
