Shoemaking Course May 2021

During this course Laura, Tristan and Troy all made an Air Jordan 1 High. Laura made a Chanel inspired Jordan 1, Tristen made a Dragonite Pokemon inspired Jordan 1 and Troy made an Off White inspired Jordan 1.

Laura was stitching the lining in her shoe. When this step is done, you flip the lining around the outside of the shoe. If it looks good, it's time to stick the foam in.

During the course you will learn the lasting process. As shown below Tristan and Troy are working on their shoes. The lasting process ensures the right shape of the shoe. We teach our students to do it with nails and a hammer. While cutting the patterns, you draw lines as a reference for this step. These lines should be on the edge of the shoe last. This way you will get the right shape.

When the lasting is done, it's time to compare them. If they are identical, it is time to glue them.

Before you glue the upper on to the donor soles, we first need to sand the remaining factory glue off.

Results of the three Air Jordan 1 Highs are shown below.
