Our Christmas tale,
and how we customized over a thousand sneakers for Christmas.
Team VIJZ
We started 2023 with just the five of us, and by the end of the year, our team has grown to a total of 24 colleagues. 16 creatives joined us for the Christmas projects this year. Each person brought their unique talents, but what we valued the most was being able to give everyone the opportunity to truly learn the craft of customization. Some of our new colleagues had a background in customization, while others had a creative background in fashion, illustration, or graphic design. We're incredibly grateful that in such a short time, we could expand our team with so many enthusiastic and passionate colleagues. Together, we customized over 1000 sneakers in just eight weeks time. These are the faces behind the personalized sneakers.

The different methods we used to make the designs come to life
We start the process of your custom sneakers by creating digital designs using ProCreate. These designs reflect your brand through colors, logos, and icons, following your brand book as a guide. Our team works closely with yours, tweaking and perfecting the design until it aligns perfectly with your vision.
DESIGN
Crafting the perfect color for your custom sneakers involves intricate mixing methods. Achieving light green, for instance, isn't as simple as combining green and white. It actually requires a blend of yellow and blue to create that specific hue. Through extensive testing and formula exploration, VIJZ mastered the art of color blending, ensuring precision and accuracy in matching any shade for your sneaker project using our PMS mixing ratios.
COLOR MIXING
Sewing labels onto the tongue of a sneaker involves a step-by-step process. First, we remove the existing label. Next, we press your logo onto a leather label. The last step involves stitching this custom-made label onto the tongue of the sneaker, ensuring durability and creating a branded sneaker.

AIRBRUSHING
Airbrushing sneakers is a time-consuming process, especially for light colors that demand multiple layers—usually around 4 to 5 layers. Prior to airbrushing, extensive prep work is needed, meticulously taping off various sections of the sneaker to achieve clean lines and precise application.
ENDLESS POSIBILLITIES
There are countless options within your customized sneaker. The tip of the shoelace can be replaced with colored metal aglets, we can add metal eyelets to the sneaker in the desired color. We can create a deconstructed look, add embroidery to the sneaker, or create an aged look on the outsole—and many more options and combinations are made possible with our customization service."
In our studio, we have an extensive collection of over 500 fabrics, from exotic leathers to suedes and metallics. This wide range offers us the possible option to swap parts of a sneaker with various fabrics, adding a touch of individuality and uniqueness to each pair of customized sneakers.

Working from a place of passion is what makes me a very fortunate person, because I get to do something I truly love. Alongside 24 enthusiastic creatives, we put in a lot of effort to create all the 1000+ sneakers in time for Christmas. We were able to achieve all of this as a team and we hope that the passion and craftsmanship translates through the sneakers we made just for you.
