  • 'Back in 2013 I started restoring sneakers in my attic room. With VIJZ, which is based on my family name 'Van IJzendoorn', I wanted to bring old collector items back to life, which originated from an extraordinary passion for sneakers. After three years of refurbishing sneakers, my ambitions grew by the day and I wanted to develop myself. I decided to take a different path in which my creativity would be expressed even better. The craft of shoemaking in combination with entrepreneurship is still the foundation of my work on a daily basis.'

    'I bought my first sewing machine by the end of 2017 and practiced day and night. By doing so, I was able to master the right technique. Shoes are so much more than just a necessary good for me. I see each shoe as an individual piece of art. Each pair of shoes is designed, developed and executed by VIJZ. Love and especially attention to every detail make every pair of shoes unique. It is my dream to become a well-known name in the field of sustainable, unique and timeless sneakers in all imaginable models.'

  • VIJZ provides an iterative process where the consumer is included from start to finish.

    By taking the consumer along in the process, a bond of trust is created between VIJZ and the consumer.

    Hereby authority is used through years of crafstsmanship and, of course scarcity through only making a limited amount of the same product.

    Right now VIJZ produces handmade shoes based on existing silhouettes. The future image of VIJZ consists of fully producing their own silhouettes and brand.

  • VIJZ wants to convey the roots of fashion with artisanal crafstsmanship: Quality and personalized per consumer with lots of character. VIJZ believes that artisanal crafstsmanship offers more value to the consumer than products made in extreme bulk. Currently, VIJZ is trying to handle the existing fashion standards and bring both worlds together by personalizing and qualitatively improving existing silhouettes.

We offer a wide range of options at different price points, so you can find something that fits your budget.   • A bespoke sneaker is a custom-made shoe that is created specifically for an individual customer. At VIJZ, we offer a wide range of customization options, including choice of materials, colors, and features, so that our customers can create a unique and personalized sneaker that meets their exact needs and preferences.

  • We use a wide range of materials to make our bespoke sneakers, including leather, suede, canvas, exotic leather, and various synthetic fabrics. We carefully select each material to ensure that it meets our high standards for quality and durability.

  • In some cases, it may be possible to make changes to your bespoke sneaker order after it has been placed. However, this will depend on the stage of production and the specific changes you would like to make. If you need to make changes to your order, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

  • Yes, we offer a preview service for our one-of-one bespoke sneakers. After you have given your inspiration, we will create a design for your sneakers which you can review and approve before production begins. This allows you to see exactly what your sneakers will look like and make any necessary changes before they are produced.

  • The process of creating a bespoke sneaker with VIJZ typically involves a few key steps:

    * Initial consultation: We start by having a conversation with you to understand your vision for your bespoke sneaker. This might include discussing your preferred style, materials, and any other specific requirements you have.

    * Design development: Once we have a clear understanding of your needs, we will work with you to create a detailed design for your bespoke sneaker. This might involve creating a number of different design options for you to choose from.

    * Production: Once the design is finalized, we will begin the production process. This typically involves sourcing materials, cutting and sewing the fabric, and assembling the finished sneaker.

    * Delivery: When your bespoke sneaker is complete, we will ship it to you or arrange for you to pick it up at our store.

2. Products and services

  • The amount of time it takes to receive your bespoke sneakers will depend on the complexity of your customization and the current volume of orders that we are working on. On average, it takes approximately 10-12 weeks to complete and ship an order. We will keep you informed of the progress of your order and will provide an estimated delivery date as soon as possible.

  • We stand behind the quality of our products and want you to be completely satisfied with your bespoke sneakers. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve the issue. In some cases, it may be possible to return or exchange your bespoke sneakers. However, please note that bespoke products are made to order and may not be eligible for return or exchange under certain circumstances.

  • Yes, we offer a limited warranty on our bespoke sneakers. This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship for a period of [X] years from the date of purchase. If you experience any issues with your sneakers within this timeframe, please contact us and we will work with you to repair or replace them.

3. Orders and return

  • A sneaker design session is a personalized service in which you can work with one of our professional designer to create your own custom sneaker design. During the session, you will have the opportunity to discuss your ideas and preferences with the designer, and they will help you bring your vision to life.

  • The sneaker design session process typically consists of a few steps:

    1. Contact us to schedule a session and provide any initial design ideas or preferences that you have.

    2. Meet with the designer either in person or virtually to discuss your design ideas in detail.

    3. The designer will create a 2D render of your sneaker design for you to review and approve.

    4. Once the design is finalized, the designer will begin the production process to create your custom sneakers.

  • The length of a sneaker design session can vary depending on the complexity of the design and the needs of the customer. On average, a session may take 1-2 hours.

  • Yes, you can purchase the custom sneakers that you design during the session. The price of your sneakers will depend on the materials and details chosen for the design.

  • There is no strict limit to the number of design revisions you can make during the session. However, please note that making numerous revisions may extend the length of the session and potentially the production time for your sneakers.

  • Our sneaker design session is priced at €150, but this fee will be deducted from your total order if you decide to move forward with the design.
